Meet the Team: Dr Martin Jost

“I’m interested in stats and data, but also how that contributes to organisations making change. It isn’t just about staring at pictures and pie charts, but rather how these impact firms as they navigate an increasingly volatile economic sector.”

That’s Dr Martin Jost, our Data Analyst at Chorus. Martin works with the data we extract from feedback interviews and surveys, performing statistical analyses to create actionable insights for our clients. “Leaders have to base their decisions on these,” he explained, “so it’s really about converting data into tangible insights for organisations.”

For Martin, seeing data translated into reports and presentations is one of the best parts of his role at Chorus. Another is the people. “I’ve been around the bush long enough to know we could’ve chosen worse people to work with!”

Martin’s interest in data science developed from a background in psychology, business and strategic management, and he holds a PhD in Educational Psychology from Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh. He is currently based near George, South Africa.
